Four of Swords, here representing the past, is typically seen as a card of relaxation. I’ve always seen it as ominous – the swords hanging overhead. Something’s coming at him, and he has no idea.
In the present we have the Two of Pentacles. Traditionally, it represents balance, but in combination with the previous card’s suggestion that something unpleasant is coming, I see it as describing a current state of imbalance, or struggling to get back on steady feet.
In the future position we have the Queen of Swords, seated comfortably, balancing her sword perfectly upright seemingly effortlessly.
I put these together to speculate that something recently rocked your world and you’re struggling to find your footing. You’ll get there.
